Participative Leadership - The alignment process is designed to include people in the decision-making process and encourage individual team members to be owners in the company, team, and current projects. High Performance Leaders want people to make decisions and reward risk taking behaviors.
Responsiveness – flexible outward focused, customer driven, group learning, self monitoring and self correcting, evaluates own performance, and individuals are please with work results, embraces opposing and alternative views.
Aligned on Purpose – Team Outcome statement permeates every part of the organization with shared values and reinforces the bigger picture and direction that is aligned upon
Communicative – open, clear, safe communication channels with common language and terminology, time managed well, and purposeful well organized meetings that include roles of facilitator, timekeeper, recorder, and scribe.
Task Focused – Challenging tasks taken on with a clear understanding and focus on accountability and 100% responsibility, mutual respect and commitment to the results and to each other
Problem Solving – Avoids the tendency to solve too soon. Gets to the real issues at the values-level to resolve issues in an upfront and direct manner with straight-talk and a focus that is hard on the issues, not hard on people. Conflicts are opportunities to build the relationship stronger
Shared Responsibility – Shared decision-making includes people to align both intellectually and emotionally, recognizes and appreciates contributions and diverse view points, celebrates successes, has clear authority (chain of command), and all are responsible for success in every area
Innovative – Creative talents promote personal relationships, respect for individual contributions, empowered and empowering
