Business Alignment

Achieving Business Results

NLP Skills Training business programs are interventions into the culture of a business.  To succeed, business people need to able to work effectively among team members to chart direction and take decisive action toward achievement of bigger outcomes.  Ordinary teams are the function of individual accomplishment.  Lots of parts sometimes overlapping.  However, High Performance Teams are focused on excellence and they require the synergy that comes through 'alignment.'

Alignment is when we, as individuals, are aligned internally and we are both intellectually and emotionally congruent with the outcomes we say we want.  Alignment is best realized inside an open and free environment where people are safe enough to be fully expressed.  A team is in alignment when everyone has fully had their say.  Full alignment then, requires that the individual put his or her own point of view aside so that the whole can move forward quickly and decisively; in powerful alignment.

A High Performance Team is An Aligned Team

In an aligned, High Performance Team, all the parts of the team or organization need to work seamlessly together.  The German word "Gestalt" means "whole." A way of explaining the concept is "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." When a group of people are aligned behind a powerful and inspiring vision, things become possible in the synergy created that are beyond the ordinary level of what is expected.  Arguement and indecision disappear.  Excellence lives in this paradigm.  See Visioning.

A Way of Speaking and Behaving

Aligned team members speak from alignment of their values.  Values are those enduring core-level beliefs that operate beneath conscious awareness to drive our behavior.  People expend time, energy, and resources to either move toward or away from thier values.  Values motivate us and they inspire and motivate others when communicated congruently.  When someone speaks from alignment of their own values, the communcication is clear and tends to carry force of purpose.  This is what people are talking about when they say a person has conviction.  Conviction of what?  Conviction, or alignment, of their beliefs and values.

People of conviction naturally and effortless communicate boundaries so that others know how to interact effectively with them.  They make decisions based on alignment of values and intentions.  They act quickly and decisively and people tend to place trust in them.  There is a sense of certainty in thoughts and actions that builds loyalty among internal and external customers.

Isn't Decisiveness Is A Core Competency?

Decisiveness comes from being internally aligned.  The book, Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill says one of key factors of highly successful people is that they decide quickly and change their minds slowly.   In the first few moments of the Alignment Process seminar business you will learn at gut level the difference in the way it feels when you are 'ambiguous;' having difficulty deciding between more than one possible solution.  Don't you get confused and feel uncertain?  These feelings can be located in your body.   There is a definite feeling that is different than times when you were certain and made an immediate choice.  This training will anchor in the feeling sense common among high successful people.

Those who are aligned easily make decisions and setting benchmarks is a natural side effect of this way of thinking and being.  Decision-making and benchmarking are core competencies of any High Performance Team.  When team members are aligned around breakthrough outcomes big enough to inspire extraordinary effort, minor disagreements begin to vaporize.  To achieve the results necessary for a business unit or entire organization to compete in todays marketplace requires finding a way to integrate intentions around core values of the key players involved.  The Alignment Process is a key ingredient in achieving extraordinary business results.
